Winged bed
A headboard that shapes the room.
The design story
A tall headboard opens out in two generous wings, bringing the bed into the room as a sculptural presence. Deep buttoning draws a regular pattern across the purple upholstery, while a polished timber outline rises at the centre and sweeps down towards the sides. The rounded, upholstered base carries that softness to floor level. In the archive photograph, these elements work through contrast: a broad, welcoming surface framed by a more precise line. The bed is documented in Kenneth Design's Original Design Collection.
