The design story

A long, gently rounded top is carried by supports that branch and return into open loops. The desk's character sits in the space beneath it as much as in the surface above: curved legs create a rhythm of solid form and open air. A surviving hand-drawn study records the same gesture seen in the finished piece. Together, drawing and furniture reveal a design concerned with continuity, from the flowing edge of the top to the shaped base below. The archive photograph shows how that outline reads within a room.
